SUMMARY:Rooswijk1740 Open Day
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to support the free drop in event for all ages on 16th and 17th July at Radford House (The Old Fire Station) in Ramsgate. \n\n\nIn 2017 and 2018 an international team of maritime archaeologists undertook an archaeological project on the Rooswijk protected wreck site. Over 2\,000 artefacts were excavated\, ranging from coins to cannon balls and including both cargo and personal items. \n\n\nConservation and analysis is now nearing completion and in late 2022 the finds will be undertaking their final journey to The Netherlands.
