SUMMARY:Organ Recital at St Georges Church
DESCRIPTION:Long standing members of The Ramsgate Society may well remember Rosemary Kirk\, our one-time Honorary Secretary\, and Peter Kirk\, the organist at St Georges Church. They moved to Southampton in 2019 but will be returning this Wednesday (24th) for Peter to play a concert of works of British and European composers as a fund raiser for the St Georges Restoration Appeal. SUMMARY:A Unique Orchestral Music Experience
DESCRIPTION:A truly unusual concert by The Thanet Light Orchestra takes place at St Luke’s Church on July 16 and will feature a number of seldom heard compositions with local connotations. Most significant of these being the exuberant Thanet Concert Overture by Alfred Wall which dates from 1916 and the Broadstairs Descriptive Suite by Bill Worland. \nThe concert on July 16 starts at 7pm.  Refreshments available. Tickets £10 on the door.
