SUMMARY:Fight the Good Fight .. Christian Wars of Religion in 19th-century Ramsgate
DESCRIPTION:In our Society talk for May\, Stephen Davies considers the motivation behind the expansive creation of new places of worship in 19th Century Ramsgate. He will be building upon his research for his recent publication\, ‘The Vale’ – an intricately detailed history of Vale Square on the west cliff of Ramsgate and the home of writer for 40 years. \nThe talk takes place at the Royal Temple Yacht Club from 7pm to 8pm with doors open from 6.30pm. After the talk all attendees are welcome to continue discussing in the Club Bar. \nAs always\, there is no charge to reserve a place to attend this talk but you must book in advance so that numbers can be controlled. Non-members of the Society are very welcome in return for a voluntary donation on the evening. \nReserve your place
