DESCRIPTION:The Ramsgate Society are very pleased once again to be part of the annual Great British Spring Clean. Together with other local volunteer litter picking groups we want to make Ramsgate a place to be proud of\, for both residents and visitors alike. We meet at Pier Yard by the Clock House Museum at 11am on Sunday March 26th \nWe will divide into groups and litter pick in both directions; east towards the Eastcliff chine and west through the harbour to the Westcliff chine. Just bring some strong gloves and everything else will be provided. SUMMARY:Walk - Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve (NNR)
DESCRIPTION:Sunday 14th May. Meet in the reserve car park (CT3 4BB) at 11.00am. Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve (NNR)\, is located just outside Canterbury between Stodmarsh Village and Grove Ferry Picnic Site and is one of the best places in the country to enjoy the outdoors and experience spectacular wildlife. It is owned by Natural England and managed for wildlife and visitors. The nature trails across the Reserve will help you get the most from your visit and take you past wildlife hotspots. You could bring a pair of binoculars to get a close-up view of the wildfowl from the bird hides. Dogs are welcome in most areas of the reserve if they are on a lead. \nThe reserve car park is east of Stodmarsh village\, located along with the turn off between the Red Lion pub and the church (CT3 4BB). Voluntary car parking charges can be paid in advance or on the day using the RingGo app. \nThe walk will take approximately 2 hours and can be wet in places if it has rained recently\, so appropriate foot ware is recommended. To book at place click the link Stodmarsh Nature Reserve \nWe are asking for a booking fee of £5\, which will go toward our sustaining our current projects.  \nIf you wish\, you can book lunch after the walk (approximately 1.00pm) at the Grove Ferry Inn.
