The Ramsgate Society recently celebrated 60 years of working with and for the people of Ramsgate. The work we do relies on the skills and experiences of local people who are passionate about this town and we want to make sure it can carry on doing that for the next 60 years and beyond.
If you have any time you could offer to ensure it can carry on looking after our heritage, celebrating the present and looking forward to the future then we’d love to hear from you.
Any contribution will be valuable – just a couple of hours of your time each month can make an important difference. Maybe you would be able to help out from home or maybe you’re a regular attendee at our talks and could join in making them run smoothly, we have lots of opportunities and would welcome you.
If a deeper dive appeals to you – we need more committee members too. The Committee is the heart of the Ramsgate Society and by meeting monthly to develop our activities, prioritise what we do and plan our next steps you can have a real say in strengthening our valuable work. You don’t need to have experience of being a trustee or involved in similar roles – the main ingredient is enthusiasm and a passion for Ramsgate.
If you’d like to have a chat with one of the current committee about what’s involved or to volunteer, please either drop us a line at news@ramsgate-society.org.uk or speak to one of the team at our talks. With you on board we can make a difference to the town.
