Many members have been angered by untreated sewage being expelled into the sea nearby. If that includes you, we hope you will be interested to attend an event on Monday 12th December 2022 at the Comfort Inn, Victoria Parade, Ramsgate, CT11 8DT from 6pm to 8pm.

It will be a mix of explanations, plans and a rare chance to question and perhaps challenge.

They describe the event as an ‘information evening’ and this is what their publicity says you can expect:

“This will be a great opportunity to understand the solution, discuss with some members of the Southern Water Task Force Team, meet our contractors supporting the programme delivery, and input your local knowledge of the area into the plans.

Activities at the “Information Evening” event will include,

• Introduction to the Task force and introduction to our ongoing interventions.
• Update on Beach Buoy and Water Quality.
• Opportunity to join the team from Groundwork to provide us with knowledge of Margate to help improve the development of schemes.
• View work of Rescue2, who are completing our connectivity surveys on rainwater going to a combined or foul sewer.
• Question time for residents to ask any questions to the Southern Water Team.”
