Ramsgate Tales is an ongoing oral and photographic history of the residents of Ramsgate in the 21st century.

The project was founded by Sarah Simpson-Enock in May 2025.

Thanks to the Ramsgate Society, in March 2026 Ramsgate Tales accepted a grant from the Ramsgate Bring it to Life fund, which enabled the project to be formally established and a website to be launched. Ramsgate Tales is now in a new phase of development, with the website designed and maintained by Laputa Labs. The archive continues to grow.

The call for participants as worded on the website is as follows:
If you are a life-long resident, a relative newcomer or just someone with close ties to the town and would like to share your story, we would love to hear from you. We are interested in all lives and all corners of the town: its trades, its families, its memories and its characters.

The goal is to curate 200 interviews and portraits of Ramsgate residents by the year 2030 in an archive that will eventually be housed by the Ramsgate Society as a community resource.
